Since 1973, Big Apple Umpires have been providing umpiring services throughout the five boroughs of New York City as well as Nassau County. All of our Big Apple umpires are professionally trained at either the high school or collegiate level. Our professional training staff also provides the necessary training for prospective umpiring candidates. Big Apple Umpires organization is committed to the highest umpiring excellence both on and off the field.

Since becoming President of Big Apple Umpires in 2008, Joe Goldstein an umpire himself for over 35 years, has overseen the organizations continued growth and development within the baseball umpiring community. During his tenure, Big Apple Umpires has expanded significantly, now serving over 20 baseball leagues and organizations. His continued commitment and dedication to the integrity of game as well as developing the next generation of umpires has earned him the respect from coaches, leagues and fellow umpires.
