You may not be umpire yet in baseball games at college level, independent ball, or affiliated with the MLB, but one day you may be. So we treat you as an aspiring professional. Our camps are given during the preseason. Our attendees will continue to undergo training to keep their skills sharp.

To excel as a professional baseball umpire, one must embody traits such as quick thinking, common sense and unwavering confidence. In the heat of the game, umpires must adeptly observe the action, assess situations and make decisive calls, all within a matter of seconds. A successful umpire possesses an in-depth understanding of the rulebook, maintains composure in all circumstances and exhibits mental resilience to navigate high-pressure situations. Additionally, professional umpires are expected to display hustle, remain alert, maintain excellent physical fitness and present a polished appearance.

In addition to baseball game rules, we also train you in proper mechanics for 1-man through 4-man crews. We review pproper mechanics for everything from calling a balk, enforcing obstruction and interference, and properly signaling and calling timing plays – as well as everything in between. And even issues like how to conduct a plate meeting and the proper ways to deal with a coach arguing.
